At Tay Valley Veterinary Centre we are proud to cover our own out of hours with our patients receiving 24 hour on-site nursing care. Due to an increasing case load, we are now looking for another night nurse to join our experienced team.
We are looking for a dedicated RCVS registered veterinary nurse to work on a three weekly rolling rota that is focused on ensuring an optimal work-life balance. This rota entails working seven nights followed by 14 days off. The shifts will be from 1800 to 0730 with significant hand over time spent with the day shift team. There will also be the opportunity to work additional day shifts if desired.
A two-week initial induction would be given during hours of 0830 – 1630 to ensure you are settled into the team and the role required.
The role would include a diverse range of nursing duties focusing on inpatient care and emergency cases.
Ideally the candidate would be experienced in lone nursing and in emergency work. Applicants with less experience are welcomed to apply as ongoing support can be given to the right candidate.
At Tay Valley Vets we understand the importance of job satisfaction and so encourage our nursing team to pursue their interests where CPD and certificates are encouraged and funded. We also actively encourage career progression through our careers pathway framework.
Schedule 3 procedures are encouraged, and we aim for high clinical standards guided by evidence-based medicine. Therefore, we are always open to new ideas to promote our standards of patient care and team wellbeing.
