Dr David Sutton at Tay Valley Vets

Last Friday Dr David Sutton from the Weipers Centre, Glasgow University gave a informative presentation on equine winter skin disease, covering mites, lice, ringworm, rainscald, mudfever and the more complicated skin problems such as atopy and sarcoids. After a short break he also talked on a variety of medical conditions including the relatively new technique of dynamic endoscopy for visualising the equine upper airway at exercise without the complications of using a treadmill.

David has spent time in Gambia researching an emerging neurological disease in horses and donkeys and nominated The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust as the beneficiary of the evenings charitable collection.

The evening was generously sponsored by Campbell Morrison of Intervet Schering Plough.
