Tay Valley Vets and Equine Centre has served the Perth, Scotland area for over 70 years, treating all pets, equines and farm animals. The business started, as the practice of R.R. Macrae in 1938. We moved to new purpose build premises in 2001, to provide a the very best veterinary service; with a central location, easy access, plenty of parking, reception space, treatment rooms and a dedicated equine centre.
Our vet centre offers a comfortable waiting area (with a dedicated small animals waiting area), an on-site dispensary and lab (which means that we can provide a faster diagnosis). We also have an isolation ward, and diagnostic and surgical suite, to offer your animals the very best care available.

We have an on-site dispensary and lab (which means that we can provide a faster diagnosis). We also have an isolation ward, and diagnostic and surgical suite, to offer your animals the very best care available.
We run consultations by appointment throughout the day which can be booked by phone, in person or by email. We can also visit your animals at home which may be especially useful for anxious pets. Our nurses run consultations too, for weight checks, nail clipping and 6 month puppy, kitten and rabbit checks. Nurses may also see your pet as a follow up check after surgery, for blood pressure checks - we can advise you whether you need to see a vet or a nurse.
We provide the full range of treatments, including surgery, in-house laboratory work and diagnostic services.
If you're unsure about the best care for your animal, please speak to one of our team; who will be pleased to help explain the various options available.
